Falsafa

Falsafa was the tradition of Islamic philosophy that engaged directly with the Greek inheritance, especially Aristotle and Neoplatonism, to develop a rigorous philosophical theology and metaphysics. Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, Avicenna, and Averroes created sophisticated accounts of intellect, existence, prophecy, and the soul that influenced both Islamic and European scholastic thought for centuries.
