Daoism

Daoism holds that the Dao, the Way, is the source and pattern of all things, and that the good life consists in aligning with its spontaneous flow rather than imposing human will on nature and society. The Daodejing of Laozi and the playful paradoxes of Zhuangzi articulate a vision of naturalness, simplicity, and wu wei, or non-coercive action, that remains one of philosophy's most enduring alternatives to rationalist control.
