The Sufi Path

Sufism is the mystical dimension of Islam, concerned with the inner, experiential path to God beyond the outward observance of law. From Rabia al-Adawiyya's poetry of divine love to Al-Ghazali's revival of the inner life, from Rumi's ecstatic verse to Ibn Arabi's metaphysics of divine self-disclosure, Sufi thinkers produced some of the most profound explorations of the soul's relationship to the divine in any tradition.
