Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism, founded by Zoroaster (Zarathustra) in ancient Persia, is one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions and philosophical traditions. Its central vision — a cosmic struggle between Ahura Mazda (Wise Lord) and Angra Mainyu (Destructive Spirit) — placed ethical choice at the heart of existence. Zoroastrian concepts of the soul, judgment, heaven and hell, and the final renovation of the world profoundly influenced the Abrahamic faiths.
