It argues that every created thing bears the signature of its inner spiritual nature on its outer form — that the visible world is a divine language, and that those who learn to read it can understand the hidden correspondence between the cosmos, the human body, and God. The work bridges Böhme's mystical theology with the alchemical and Paracelsian science of his era.
