Objectivism

Objectivism, developed by Ayn Rand, holds that reality exists independently of consciousness, that reason is the only means of knowledge, that the proper moral purpose of life is the pursuit of rational self-interest, and that laissez-faire capitalism is the only social system consistent with human nature. Though controversial within academic philosophy, it has exerted wide cultural influence in political and economic thought.
